Mehron Fixative "A" contains a plasticizing agent that provides a smooth sealing “skin” for wax or putty based appliances, latex, foam latex, and gelatin appliances and other kinds of prosthetics. It is designed to allow the application of additional makeup on top of the Fixative "A" sealant layer or any other makeup finishing products. It's also is an important "form fitting" agent, as it locks the wax, putty or gelatin into its final shape so it won’t degrade as easily under body heat, lighting heat, or outdoor heat.
It also can be used as a surface protectant with a clear slightly glossy finish, that makes makeup designs appear like tattoos. Simply brush the fixative onto and completely over the wax or makeup design, using the brush cap included in the product jar. It is recommended to apply the fixative in very thin coats, as this product is buildable to achieve the thickness you desire in your end results. Once the coats are dry you can apply the makeup over the sealed "skin" as you would apply it to any skin surface. Works well with hand applied or airbrush applied makeup.
