BGE Coagulated Blood FX is densely colored with a slightly lumpy and clotted consistency, just like real clotting blood. Available in both fresh (brighter red) or aged blood (a brownish darker red) it can be used to simulate the look of fresh coagulating blood or clotted aged blood. It can be applied directly to skin around the mouth, nose, ears, and near the eyes, or used on prosthetic appliances to give that truly realistic look of globby coagulated, slightly stringing blood.
It is water resistant and won’t run, as long as it is not rubbed, and stays in place wherever you apply the product, whether on skin or patient simulators. It’s great to use to create the effect of scabbing wounds that have begun to heal too! Another great feature is that once applied you can pick this product up with a cotton swab or makeup spatula and endlessly re-arrange it, or just move it entirely to another area. It never dries down, and is non-toxic and non-staining, although a patch test is always recommended.
