Smooth Cast 300 is a very low viscosity casting resin that does not need vacuum degassing, and yields virtually bubble-free solid bright white plastic castings in as little as 10 minutes depending on the mass and mold configuration. Your fully cured castings are tough, durable, machinable, and paintable. They resist moisture and mild solvents and are great for reproducing small to medium size sculptures, original models, making prototype models, decorative jewelry and items, special effects props, you name it.
This resin is perfect to use for pouring into rubber molds, but you can also pour it into alginate molds, such as Smooth-on Alja-Safe, or over clay sculpting's that have a proper retaining wall around them. Caution — ALWAYS READ MSDS AND PRODUCT DATA SHEETS FIRST BEFORE USING PRODUCT. Always wear protective clothing and gloves when using this product, as it can give a skin reaction. Keep out of reach of children. Use with adequate ventilation. The product can cause severe irritation to skin and eyes, and prolonged exposure to vapors can cause lung damage. Remove from skin with soap and water. Flush eyes for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Note — the shelf life of Smooth-On liquid plastic compounds, as with all brands of casting resins, is slightly reduced after opening. Remaining product should be tightly capped and stored in a dry place, and used as soon as possible. Replace the lids on both containers immediately after dispensing it to protect and prolong the shelf life of the unused product.
