Gypsona's Medical Grade Plaster Bandages are simply the best choice for life casting and mold work, such as backing up alginate during casting and making support shells (mother molds) for molding rubbers. These high performing bandages are a very important tool when you need strong support in capturing the best detail through the duplication process. The smooth creamy consistency makes it easy to work with and renders strong results.
The central plastic core packaging of each roll prevents telescoping and improves the handling of the bandage. Immerse bandages in water for about 5 seconds. Remove and squeeze bandages to remove excess water. Apply over mold surface following contours. Working time is about 5 minutes. Bandages dry in 15 minutes in air temperature.
PRO TIP: These bandages are great to use in crafting quick and easy broken bone simulations: Simply wet 3 or 4 cut strips, then mold and fashion them into various styles of broken bone traumas. Place on a surface that has been treated with a release agent (such as petroleum jelly) to dry thoroughly before using.
