Skin Illustrator is designed as multi-use pigments that allow you to create a variety of different makeup effects, covering tattoos or coloring hair. The high pigment content provides rich color tones that stay in place and last all day. The versatility of these pigments can create something that wasn’t there, fix a problem, or even keep one from happening! The colors are safe for use on the lips, skin, hair, and around the eyes, and can be used together with PAX paints, rubber mask grease, or other types of makeup. It’s completely compatible with foam latex, gelatin, acrylic, plastic, vinyl, and silicone appliances. The wide range of colors allows you total control to create any illusion imaginable, whether you use a brush, air brush, sponge or stipple technique.
This palette is a mini version of the classic full-sized Skin Illustrator FX Palette, MM-1024, and contains all 10 colors most commonly used colors for a wide range of special makeup effects needs. The colors include: Blood Tone, Aged Blood, Bruise Tone, Ultra Blue, Black, Primer Red, Burnt Orange, Prime Yellow, Green, and White. This mini-sized palette is super handy to have for touch-ups, and the slim pocket size is travel friendly and easy storage. It's a great way to try these 10 colors at a less expensive price over the larger palettes, and ideal for beginners or first time users to experiment with alcohol activated palettes.
The colors from this palette can be custom blended together with other Skin Illustrator colors from other palette sets. Skin Illustrator also be easily blended with other brands of alcohol activated colors and palettes too. You can easily control the coverage and intensity of these pigments in application for an ”in the skin” realistic finish that looks completely realistic in UHD media and extreme close-ups. Skin Illustrator colors have high continuity and long wear, are rub proof and moisture proof, and require very little touch up other than an occasional powdering. These are simply a must have for the serious SFX makeup artist!
To Use: The dry ink pigments must be activated first with a 99% alcohol product, such as Telesis ISO GEL, MM-1111, Skin Illustrator Activator, MM-1205, or REEL Creations 99% Alcohol Developer, MM-1182. Pour or spray a small amount into the pigment and rub the top of the cake with a brush to liquefy the color. Apply the color with a brush, sponge, mascara wand, or other makeup applicator. Removal is easy with PPI's Telesis Super Solv, MM-1114, or Telesis Makeup Remover, MM-1255.
Note: Do not use any alcohol product that is less than 99% proof, MEK, acetone, water or other types of solvents with this product. It will only work successfully with 99% alcohol. Be aware that the palette cells may be too small to sufficiently use with full size sponges.
