Body Double® Release Cream prevents high tear strength silicones from encapsulating (grabbing and holding onto) body hair during the life casting process. Unlike alginates, which don’t have tear strength so they release hair easily when molded directly onto skin.
Body Double® Release Cream is actually a skin conditioning formula that will not inhibit silicone during the curing process. To use: cleanse body part to be cast with soap and water, and dry thoroughly. Liberally apply Body Double® Release Cream to all skin surfaces (bare and hair covered) that will come in contact with the mold rubber. Work the cream into and over body hair thoroughly.
